ABENY Inc. presents the 2019 Education Conference, which will take place on Saturday, November 9, at Frederick Douglass Academy, located at 2581 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard. This year's theme is "Cultivating Voices of Empowerment, Advocacy and Social Justice in Education." Registration will take place from 9 AM - 10 AM, followed by the plenary session from 10 AM - 11 AM, then, four concurrent workshops from 11:30 AM - 2 PM. The keynote speaker at the plenary session will be the Honorable Senator Brian A. Benjamin. A continental breakfast will be served, and light refreshments will be offered throughout the day. Educators may earn 5 hours of professional development credit. Vendors and community-based organizations will also be available to provide educational resources and crafts.
