ABENY Inc. presents the 2020 Virtual Education Convening. This year's theme is "Promoting the Promise, Possibility and Potential of African American Youth in the Era of Covid-19 and Racial Injustice."

Registration will take place online between September 30th and Nov. 5th.

The keynote speaker at the plenary session will be David Banks, CEO of the Eagle Academy Foundation. Following the keynote will be two consecutive sessions titled as follows:

Session A: “Using Literature to Empower our Youth to Become Activists and Advocates for Social Justice.” Ama Karikari-Yawson: Author of The Talk and Founder and CEO of Milestales Publishing

Session B: “Supporting Youth in Overcoming the Mental Health Consequences of Covid-19 and Racial Injustice.” Dr. JoAnn Joyner: Associate Professor at Medgar Evers College; Workshop Leader at the ABENY 2019 Fall Conference on the impact of racial injustice on the mental health of Black and Brown youth
