Association of Black Educators of New York
Established in 1968, the Association of Black Educators of New York (ABENY) evaluates and reinforces initiatives which improve the system of public education in New York City, particularly with respect to the African American student and educator; ABENY also supports excellence in learning and achievement outcomes for students and educators. We are focused on improving the skills and accessibility required for effective teaching, supervision, or administration through the engagement of the larger community and thorough examination of education policies.
