ABENY Inc. presents the 2022 Virtual Education Convening Saturday November 12th from 1pm - 3:30pm. This year's theme is "Culturally Diverse Literature: Voices of Advocacy, Empowerment and Community." This theme is reflective as ABENY Inc.'s participation as one of the coalition members in the creation of New York City's first interdisciplinary Black Studies Curriculum as outlined in the Education Equity Action Plan.

Registration will take place online between October 1st and Nov. 11th.

Our illustrious plenary Keynote will be Ama Karikari-Yawson, one of the most powerful "Voices." As the founder of Milestales Publishing and Education Consulting, and the author of The Talk: A Black Family's Conversation about Racism and Police Brutality, among other works, Ms. Karikari-Yawson has a unique understanding of the social issues that impact the lives of African Americans and their ability to be successful in this society.

Ms. Karikari-Yawson will be joined by four outstanding Black authors who will discuss their works, as well as how to infuse culturally diverse literature on both physical and digital platforms:
